Emoji’s are taking over the planet. Words? They’re so 2014. Of course, big advertisers are all over them. We’ve seen Pepsi, Ikea, World Wildlife Fund and McDonalds jump on the emoji bandwagon in recent weeks. Great marketing opportunity or annoying flash in the pan? We’re not sure. Using them in your ads is not without risk though… ask McDonalds.
